BioBee and BloomX: Producers and developers of bumble bees and beneficial insects team up

BioBee Sde Eliyahu Ltd. is celebrating 40 years of innovation and is one of the leading international producers of bumblebees for pollination and beneficial insects and mites for agricultural purposes. BioBee announced that it is now a strategic partner of BloomX.

BloomX (formerly Bumblebee AI) is an Israeli Agtech start-up that has developed an innovative data-driven, bio-mimicking technology for pollination. Specific commercially grown crops such as blueberries and avocado face challenges ranging from less attractive pollen to non-compatible pollinators in certain countries. BloomX enhances the grower's ability to deal with these challenges, helping them increase crop yields and fruit quality while granting them control over the pollination process.

"BioBee's goal is to empower growers and to help them improve their yields, both in terms of quantity and quality, wherever possible. In our strive for innovative technologies, we find BloomX's cutting-edge technology a complementary means to improve pollination in specific crops such as avocado and blueberries," explains Ran Gan El, CEO of BioBee Sde Eliyahu.

"This groundbreaking technology provides growers with bio-mimicking tools and complementary software that helps them manage and gain enhanced control over the pollination process. This technology will help growers improve their yields and increase their revenue," adds Oded Rusnak, Innovation manager at BioBee.

"BloomX is excited to have Biobee as a partner, and we are confident that our cooperation will be fruitful and beneficial for growers around the world. As a strategic partner, BioBee provides us with market access to the important agricultural exporting countries where the majority of our target crops are being grown, such as Chile, South Africa, Colombia, and Israel," said Thai Sade, founder, and CEO of BloomX.

BioBee recognizes the need for viable working solutions that take into account all the unique parameters of the particular grower in a specific country: from regulatory demands, logistics, climate, and growing methods to environmental issues.

BioBee's guiding principle is to look to nature for inspiration. This tradition of research and innovation, coupled with a deeply rooted concern for the environment, continues to thrive with this new investment.
