Kverneland Group and Dimensions Agri Technologies (DAT) are collaborating to introduce precision spraying systems in select European markets, including Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands.
This partnership integrates the DAT Ecopatch system with Kverneland sprayers to optimize herbicide usage and improve crop yields.
The DAT Ecopatch system uses AI-driven sensor technology for precise herbicide application during the growth season (Green-on-Green) in cereals. “This cooperation will make the DAT Ecopatch solution available for more farmers, addressing both economic and environmental pressures,” says Kristian Kaurstad Morten, CEO of DAT.
Key Information for Farmers:
Cost: The end price to the farmer is around € 60,000 ( about 65.000 US dollar).
Operation: Utilizes AI and sensors for precise herbicide application.
Availability: Currently in Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands, with plans for broader European expansion.
Relevance: Reduces herbicide use by 50%, lowers production costs, and increases yields.
Seamless integration with Kverneland sprayers
Dirk-Jan Stapel, Director of Marketing & Sales at Kverneland, states, “We ensure the seamless integration of DAT Ecopatch with our Kverneland sprayers, allowing our customers to benefit from advanced spraying technologies.”
The partnership also includes joint marketing efforts, such as exhibitions and field days, and plans to extend the technology to additional crop types. The DAT Ecopatch system will be supported through DAT’s international network, while Kverneland sprayers will continue to be backed by their dealer network.
Dimensions Agri Technologies (DAT)
DAT, a Norwegian agritech company, focuses on precision farming to produce more food with fewer inputs and reduced environmental impact. Their system significantly lowers herbicide use and was a top 10 finalist for the Farm Machine 2024 at Agritechnica in Hannover.
