Sabanto's autonomous kit for the Kubota M5 tractor is available now. Sabanto's system can be retrofitted to existing Kubota M5 tractors, allowing operators to turn the tractor they already own into an autonomous machine.
The release of the Kubota M5 tractor autonomy kit marks the first time Sabanto has offered the system to North American end users. Systems for other manufacturers and tractor models will be announced at a later date.
Swarms of Autonomous Devices
"We're revolutionizing the way the industry looks at autonomous devices and bringing in partners who share our vision," said Sabanto founder and CEO Craig Rupp. "We see smaller, smarter, lighter, cheaper , a more sustainable future of autonomous fleets of devices that allow users to cover more territory with fewer resources."

“When automated guidance comes out, it enables farms to find new ways to get the job done,” said Matt Hesse, vice president of sales and marketing for Sabanto. “Autonomy will do the same. It allows operators to find new ways to conduct their farming activities. Multitasking comes into play here. While the Sabanto system is handling one task, producers are free to work on other tasks. When that happens, you double your work capacity."
Automate various field operations
Through extensive field testing, Sabanto said it has demonstrated its ability to automate various field operations across large tracts of land. The company has a fleet of small 60- and 90-horsepower tractors that autonomously plow, plant, seed, weed, apply and mow across the United States.
In 2020, Kubota tractors equipped with the Sabanto autonomy kit have begun rolling across the American Midwest.
